GETGUIN finished gamely when called upon in the stretch and outstayed RED LIKKER in the final drive. The latter, a factor throughout, held on well and was much the best of the others. GERTRUDE PALMER showed speed, but was tiring rapidly at the end. WEE MARJIE ran an even race. BEL-BANE acted badly at the post, ran out on the first turn and bolted through the "dogs" on the stretch turn. Overweight Blackwell, 11 pounds. LIGURIAN came fast rounding the stretch turn and, finishing fast, drew clear in the last seventy yards. SUNOLIN finished fast on the inside in the stretch drive and outgamcd ALICE HERX. The latter showed speed to the stretch, made the turns better today and held on well although tiring. EN ROUTE could not get up and had no mishaps. BRIGHT FLAG was also outrun throughout. KOYAL BELLS rushed BUCHON into defeat, but failed to withstand the winners challenge, nil DELTA closed much ground and 011 teamed BOCK QUEEN in the final drive.
