. MIST OBSCURES EXERCISERS . NEW YORK, N. Y., April 18. A heavy mist, which shrouded the three Long Island tracks alt this morning, caused a complete cessation of training activities. At Belmont Park very few horses were brought out and what little work was accomplished was done indoors. On the main and training tracks horses were indistinguishable at 200 feet. The same conditions applied at Aqueduct and Jamaica. At both of these points very few horses were brought out. Tom McCreary had Gold Brook, his Derby and Preakness candidate, for a slow jog, but he was quickly lost in the mist and no line .was obtainable on him. According to work watchers, the conditions were the worst in years and unless there is a decided change in weather conditions, a muddy track will prevail for the opening of the metropolitan season at Jamaica.
