if LEXINGTON TURF NOTES . a LEXINGTON, Ky., April 18. T. J. Brown suffered the loss of a two months old son of Chilhowee and Miss Jazbo, which he had at J. S. Barbees farm. Col. M. J. Winn and Bruce Head, after visiting with former Senator J. N. Camden, at his Hartland Farm, came over for the opening. Colonel Winn took much interest in the operation of the Waite starting gates, which he has procured for the coming meeting at Churchill Downs. Colonel Winn and Mr. Head were among the guests of the Kentucky Association at a luncheon before the opening day races. Among others at the luncheon were: Charles F. Price, S. S. Combs. W. E. Smith, P. Laf-foon, Thomas Piatt. J. C. Schank, C. W. Bid-will, W. P. Shelley, E. A. Weidel, M. L. Galvin, Frazer B. Lebus, C. W. Hay, Marvin May and Thomas S. Scott.
