v BUYS BROOD MARE JULIA N. NEW YORK, N. Y., April 18. C. J. Fitzgerald today reported that he had purchased for the Branncastle Farm Stable the eleven-year-old brood mare Julia N., by Peter Quince Nell Wilder, by Broomstick. This matron is the dam of Molasses Jane, which races for the Branncastle Farm Stable, and now has a filly foal at foot by Omar Khayyam. She was bred this season to Display, being one of the first mares to be mated with Walter J. Salmons "iron horse." Julia N. will be transferred to Beaumont Farm, Lexington, Ky., where she will remain with the other Branncastle mares there until their owners acquire a farm.
