GUSSIE POOL took command after going the first quarter, displayed good speed, but was ridden j out in the stretch to retain her advantage. SOUTHERN CLOUD raced forwardly all the way, but was jy in close quarters next to the inner rail during the stretch run and failed to obtain racing room. MAYES M LUTZ came fast on the outside entering the stretch and finished gamely. BUNNY HUG raced wide on the first turn when in the lead. DOROTHY ELLEN refused to start. HIGH t PRINCE closed much ground and finished courageously. LORELEI was going fast at the end. BLACK 4 BOY began slowly, but finished fast. AVon driving; second and third the same. THRACE raced closely lapped on the outside of TWELAE SIXTY for the entire race and, in a game finish, got up in the last few yards. TWELAE SIXTY showed a good performance and held on gamely the final drive. McKIM saved ground in the stretch and outgamed SPECTRE.
