NEW YORK TURF NOTES NEW YORK, N. Y., April 30. At private terms, Henry McDaniel, acting for G. A. Cochran, sold Flying Start to E. W. Burke.- Two claims were filed in the final race Tuesday. C. Huggins claimed Truncheon from the Pauline Stable, and R. G. Narelle took Asthorelian from T. M. Cassidy. Both horses cost ,200 each. W. A. Sheas Sandy Ford, winner of the Dixie Stakes, returned from Pimlico. His next start here will be in the Excelsior Handicap. Gallant Fox, accompanied by Faro, was shipped to Pimlico. He will be given his final trial over that track for the Preakness. Walter Cox and Mr. Butler, two well-known trotting horse enthusiasts, were visitors of the day, guests of T. W. Murphy. Two horses changed hands out of the first race. D. McCafferty claimed Rumor from Mrs. Louise Viau for ,G00 and the B. B. Stable took Adamas from Mary A. J. Smith for ,000. y Dave Withers has taken over the engagement book of .jockey D. McAuliffe. The latter rides at 10S pounds. He was engaged to ride Dedicate in the Kentucky Derby. Earl Sande leaves for Pimlico today, where he will gallop Gallant Fox. Sande has been engaged to pilot the three-year-old in all his engagements this year. The following have been added to starter Cassidys schooling list: High Strung, Joanne E., King Charmer, Mysterious, Phantom Girl and Trapping Joe. Flag Day, winner of the fourth race, pulled up lame.
