GENERAL ADVANCE, hard urged throughout, raced SOCTHTOUR into early defeat and, sacing ground entering the stretch, withstood a hard drive and outstayed ZONDA. The latter, racing forwardly, moved up boldly at the final eighth post and. with more energetic handling, would probably have won. TOWEE, always close up, showed good speed. SEMESTER raced evenly. POLO BAR closed fast on the outside. CURMUDGEON was held safe THE CRANE was hartlv buffeted about soon after the start. FAIR BETH, outrun to the first turn and, shuffled back, worked his way up on the outside and closed with a rash when straightened out in the stretch and, wearing down VERY HIGH, was up in the final strides. VERY HIGH had a lot taken out of him racing SNOOTY into defeat, then tired. The latter, hard ridden throughout, began fast and saved ground on the turns. BUDDHA moved up at the half mile post, but tired when put to a drive. TRAUMEL showed earlv speed. SOLACE saved ground entering the stretch, where he came through on the inside, stood a long and hard drive in game fashion and just lasted long enough to outfinish GOLDEN PRINCE, but was disqualified. The latter gradually improved bis position and finished with a good burst of speed on the outside. SISTER ZOE race evenly. KHORASAN set a very fast pace for the first half mile, but tired in the last eighth. CHLO BOY ran out at the head of the stretch. DARK HERO began very slowly. A claim of foul was allowed, the officials ruling that GOLDEN PRINCE was interfered with bv SOLACE on the far turn. The change in placing made GOLDEN PRINCE first, SISTER ZOE second and CHLO BOY third. Scratched- 53877 Circulet. 100. The latter, forwardly placed, challenged gamely at the final eighth post and was slowly wearing down the winner. SKID, slow to get going, moved up fast leaving the back stretch, but could not menace the leaders in the final drive. SUNEROS. close up from the start, finished gamelv. ROCKSLIDE closed a good gap. SUN MEDDLER was messed about at the start and raced wide. REDOUBTABLE quit. MEANDER rushed into a forward position, was rated along until leaving the back stretch, wore the leaders down when called on and came away in the final eighth. BATTLING ON. rushed along from the start, raced SHYLOCK into submission, but could not resist the winners effort. COIN COLLECTOR, well ridden, was unable to keep pace in the final drive. REDCLIFFE, kept within striking distance of the leaders, was held safe when making his run. PUNISHMENT finished stoutly. ROYAL PANOPLY tired. SHYLOCK quit. FLYACROSS was going fast at the end.
