MORPHEUS FOR OHIO DERBY AURORA, 111., May 6.— M. E. Syufy stated today that his good three-year-old Morpheus would be sent to Cleveland to run in the Ohio State Derby, which will be run at Bainbridge Park on May 23. The improved son of Dozer is at present resting at Washington Park after a long trip from California, Syufy purchased Morpheus at Tanforan last fall for a moderate sum and since then has won several important races with him. Among his victims was The Choctaw, which finished a bang-up second to Mike Hall in the Agua Caliente Handicap. Jockey Guy De Peso, contract rider for the Syufy stable, will likely accompany the gelding to the Ohio city. After his engagement in the Ohio State Derby Morpheus will return tQ Washington Park to start in the America Derby.
