C W. BIDWILL HORSES ARRIVE Stable of Secretary of Illinois Turf Association Reaches Washington Park. Charles W. Bidwill, secretary of the Illinois Turf Association, personally supervised the unloading of his thoroughbred racers upon their arrival from Churchill Downs at the Washington Park course yesterday. The outfit, in charge of E. L. Snyder, Mr. Bid-wills new trainer, made the journey without incident. All are ready for action, Snyder said, when the Chicago season opens at Washington Park, May 25. The Bidwill band includes Stormy B., by Paicines — Loula Long, by Blues; Mary Bid-will, by Paicines — Nancy McKay, by Jack Atkin; Tea Cracker, by Tea Caddy — Miss Finn, by The Finn; Ripfield, by Master Charlie — Bright Leaf, by Bulse. It is the plan of Mr. Bidwill to strengthen his stable. This means the addition of stake performers. Trainer Snyder is particularly pleased over the advancement displayed by Mary Bidwill and Stormy B. Both possess the speed of their sire. Trainer Snyder, aside from training the Bidwill horses, will campaign his own — Watergap, by Westy Hogan — Pleasing, by Sweep; Riff Raff, by Volta — Reliquary, by Ornament, and Colonel Board, by Royal Canopy — Loveless, by Acclaim. Snyders success with ordinary material was his recommendation in connection with his new duties. Earnest training and studied placing of horses is his explanation of turf success.
