MORSTONE TO RACE HERE More than passing interest is beirfg manifested by Chicago turf followers respecting the performance of Benjamin Blocks undefeated sprinter, Morstone, in the Kentucky Derby, and the chance of this son of Mr. Blocks Morvich, 1922 Kentucky Derby winner, in the American Derby, Saturday, June 20, at Washington Park. Clarence Buxton, trainer of the Block racers, intends to start the colt in both races, as indicated in a letter addressed to judge C. W. Hay, general manager of Washington Park. In requesting stall room he observed that the judge need not be surprised if he brings a horse that will wear a double Derby crown. If Morstone makes it a two-time Derby triumph the happiness of Ben Block, former Chicagoan, would be complete. His near-idolatry of Morvich began when the horse swept all before him as a two-year-old. His- estimate of Morstone is reflected in the refusal to sell him for 5,000. Pressing the sum to 00,000 would not tempt him, according to Buxton. «
