BENNY A. LANE DIES NEW YORK, N. Y., May 8.— Benny A. Lane, prominent turf figure for many years, who raced a small stable, died at St. Francis Hospital in the Bronx, following an operation for gall stones yesterday. Lane entered the hospital a few days ago. He is survived by his widow and two children. The last horse he raced was Madelon, a winner at St. Johns Park. Funeral arrangements will be announced from his late home. 203 Woodland Avenue, New Rochelle. *
