RIVERSIDE PARK OPENING KANSAS CITY, Mo., May 8.— The spring meeting at RiverSide Park begins tomorrow. A program of eight races has been arranged by secretary Morrison, with the Inaugural Handicap, the sixth on the card, being the feature. Of the original twenty-eight nominations, eleven accepted the weights assigned them, with McGonigle, the star of Green Briar Stable, being allotted the heaviest impost. The track is slow from Fridays rains, and this going will suit the heavily weighted McGonigle, as he revels in the heavy going. Moana Keala, the Hawaiian speedball, is another that is reported to like the track on the slow side. The supporting seven races should furnish good sport as the conditions bring together small but select fields.
