» OHIO STATE DERBY ENTRIES CLEVELAND, Ohio, May 8.— More than twenty nominations have been received for the Ohio State Derby, according to word from Tommy McGinty, general manager of Bainbridge Park. The nominations for the stake close on May 16 — opening day of the Bainbridge thirty-seven-day meeting and the day of the running of the Kentucky Derby. Nominations to date include several of the eastern stars as well as the outstanding candidates of the winter, Spanish Play and Lightning Bolt. Racing secretary Julius Reeder has several representatives at Maryland, New York, Kentucky and Chicago looking after the derby nominations and thinks this years 2,000 stake will surpass all previous ones. «
