BELGIUM showed good speed, but carried ICARUS wide in the stretch and drew clear in the last few yards. ICARUS raced on the outside of the winner closely lapped throughout and gave up in the last few strides. FAIR GLOW raced well up for most of the race. ROYAL OMAR was bumped by CHILL WIND on the first turn and knocked sidewise, but closed steadily. LAST HOUR tired. THISTLE DEE was alvvavs outrun. CLOIDO suffered some interference shortly after the start, but could never get to the leaders, but held the others safe at the finish. SILENT VOTE showed a fair effort. MISS MARIE ran an even race. MISS N. CONLAN and MISSING CADDIE failed to display their accustomed speed, probably not being suited by the going. KRANZ BABY tired. LUCKY DAN disposed of GIDEON with little effort. GIDEON raced as if not suited by the going. HARASS dropped out of it in the last quarter. SPANISH PLAY raced forwardly and held the others safe. UP was crowded back on the far turn, but improve his position thereafter and finished gamely. MORPHEUS closed fast in the last quarter and finished gamely, as did THE MONGOL after suffering interference on the far turn. LIGHTNING BOLT raced well to the stretch, then tired badlv.
