PETO. away well, was allowed to settle fully into his stride and, going to the outside, assumed command in the final eighth and drew out steadily. SEN CRAIG, kept close up from the start, challenged boldly approaching the stretch and held on gamely. TABLE TALK forced a good pace from the start, shook off NOAJOYCE, but was tiring in the final drive. NOAJOYCE tired fast after going five-eighths. RED BRIAR lacked earl speed. LORD ROCKVILLE began fast and. showing good speed, drew clear in the first eighth, saved ground where possible and, holding on gamely when challenged, just lasted. ANOKA stumbled right after the start, but reco ered quickly and, kept close up, finished gamely. COUNT BRUNO was wearing down the first two steadily after racing forwardly. ROSEMAN did not appear to favor the going and sprawled several times. CCDGELDOE tired after challenging gamely on the stretch turn. SARDANEZA jumped boldly and, taking the lead at the ninth fence, held FATHALLAH safe. The latter, steadied along for the first mile, challenged repeatedly. JOHN SOBIESKI improved his position and closed gamely. TOTALISATOR moved up fast in the last half mile and was going strongly at the end. BILLYCOCK raced well. HUON JOY stumbled at the ninth fence and dropped out of contention. KIANG was unable to keep up under pressure. FROTH BLOWER, hustled into a forward position, was rated along until leaving the back stretch and, wearing down SKYYGAZER, was kept under pressure thereafter. BRONZE, slow to get going, worked his way up, saved ground on the stretch turn and got up in the final drive. SKYGAZER showed good speed and held on gamely. PAR EXCELLENCE was unable to get up. BANAL GIRL sprinted into a commanding lead early, saved ground and came again to outstay DANCING MACK. The latter, forwardly placed, made a bold move rounding the final turn, but tired in the closing test. CLEAR SKY dropped far out of it, then closed a big gap.
