ROSA W. drew clear on the turn and, holding on gamely under a good ride, withstood DIS DAT. The latter lost much ground, went to the inside and, closing with a rush, was wearing down the winner. BARASHKOVA, poorly ridden, swerved repeatedly in the stretch. EPIDEMIC met early interference and closed fast. BEAUTY BRIDE raced well and, meeting interference in the first eighth, tired. The latter raced unnecessarily wide and sluggishly for the first half mile, improved his position slowly thereafter and closed fastest of all. ST. JIM, allowed to drop out of it, moved up with a rush, then tired. FAIR ROSALIND, close up from the start, was in close quarters on the stretch turn and closed gamely after being taken back. The latter, much the best, lost ground on the first turn, then improved his position, but could not get up. DELVEN showed good speed while racing wide on the turn, then tired after half a mile. LITTLE COUSIN moved up with a rush approaching the stretch and went gamely thereafter. OUR GRIEF tired badly. NEWBURGER showed earlv speed. UNENCUMBERED was outrun. The 8 latter, probably best and taken back to avoid mishaps at the first turn, closed up ground steadily and 1 finished strong. DOLTAIRE, taken across sharply at the first turn, went to the lead well in hand, but gave e way slowly when challenged. DODGSON had no mishaps. ROLL EM DOWN had early speed. DUELIST r began fast and sulked after a half mile. SOUTHLAND PAL, when crowded by DOLTAIRE at the first turn, fell and WHISK ARROW fell over him.
