The latter, in close quarters to the first turn, was taken to the outside and closed gamely, but could not menace the winner. HIGH BORN closed fast. MY LAVA improved her position on the outside, finished fast and was wearing down the winner. DOMINEER moved up steadily after going a half mile, finished gamely and outstayed SWEET LACRUSE. The latter showed good speed lor seven eighths and tired thereafter. J. J. BAMBRICK forced a steady early pace.
