j | j I j ! | ;• EPITHET TRAINING WELL CRETE, 111., June 4.— That the Warm Stables Epithet, crack son of Epinard, which defeated Jamestown in the Hopeful Stakes last August, is ready for racing at sprint distances was well demonstrated when he breezed five-eighths in 1:01% at Lincoln Fields this morning. He was timed for the quarter in :23% and the half mile in :48. Trainer J. S. Middleton plans to start him in one or two overnight races during the Washington Park meeting, and his first effort at the Homewood course will mark his initial start as a three-year-old.
