PLANS TO INCREASE PURSES KANSAS CITY, Mo., June 4.— William P. Kyne, general manager of the Riverside Park track, has decided upon August 29 as the opening date for the fall meeting, the duration of which will be announced shortly. Mr. Kyne has also decided upon increasing the size of the purses for the second meet ing at Riverside under his direction. Although the present summer meeting at the Kansas City track has been one of the most successful held in this section, the fall meeting should surpass it in point of class as the increased purses, the size of which will be : announced later, should attract a better class of thoroughbreds to the popular track.
