BUD DAILE began slowly and closed ground under urging. JOLLY PILOT, on the inside throughout, had no mishaps. JAMBALAYA tired in the final eighth. BLOND KNIGHT raced green and quit at the end. PROWLER jumped well and was rated off the pace, moved up fast when called upon and, disposing of THE ACE II., had speed to spare. THE ACE II. jumped well, moved into an easy lead, saved ground and had no mishaps. NAT CLYMAN, outrun early, was taken under restraint, responded well when called upon, but could not menace the leaders. CRENALAN. close up to the first turn, tired badly. The latter raced true in the middle of the track, showed good speed and held on well. CAMBAL. close up from the start, handled his weight well and held on gamely. DEXTERITY finished with a rush. PORGIE closed fast on the outside. DEDUCE was caught in close quarters in the final few yards. BRANDON ROSE raced well. GENERAL LEJEUNE had no mishaps. EMANCIPATE was bumped about in the last eighth. PRIORY, under urging in the last quarter, closed slowly. STRAYING, on the inside, was under pressure when blocked and forced to take up, caromed into PRIORY LADY MINNIE was outrun.
