Won easily; second and third driving. MAREVE displayed good speed from the start, responded well when put under pressure, shook off LINTON NELL in the last eighth and drew away. BONNY MAUREEN moved up fast when called upon, responded gamely in the final eighth and finished fast. DEVOUT raced close up throughout and had no mishaps. BOOCAP lunged at the -start, moved up fast and held on well. LINTON NELL challenged gamely on the inside in the last eighth, then tired. MAI DEE had no mishaps. BERET was outrun. Won easily ; second and third the same. LE BEY moved into command after the start, jumped well, was rated along under steady restraint and, shaking off ROAD AGENT, had speed to spare. ICICLE, outrun and under restraint, came with a belated rush in the last half mile. ROAD AGENT, close up from the start, raced wide in the early stages, but moved up when called upon, only to tire at the end. AT POST— 2 "minutes. Start good out of machine. Won handily ; second and third driving. OSCULATOR showed speed from the start, raced straight in the middle of the track and drew away under pressure. POLONAISE, a factor from the start, responded gamely when put under pressure and outlasted PHANTOM LEGION. The latter challenged gamely, but tired in the final strides. FALL APPLE swerved into ELECTION DAY at the start and, outrun early, worked his way up on the inside, but was blocked an eighth out and, guided to the outside, was in close quarters at the end. SEMAPHORE raced well in spots and responded to urging at the finish. INDICATIVE showed early speed. IN COMMAND was outrun early. MAKALU was bothered slightly in the last eighth. DEFIER was outrun. SUN MISSION, a factor throughout, moved up fast on the outside entering the stretch and, disposing of POLYDORUS. outlasted SIDNEY GRANT. The latter dwelt at the start and, outrun early, worked his way up on the inside and finished fastest of all. POLYDORUS showed speed, raced BLACK FOREST into defeat and tired in the final eighth. REVEILLE BOY was placed on the outside at the start, raced forwardly and showed a eood performance. MILKMAN saved ground on the stretch turn, but tired thereafter. COLOSSAL, outrun early, closed ground. GOLDEN PRINCE quit. BLACK FOREST quit after three-quarters and was eased up at the end. Overweight — Black Forest, 2 pounds. 4? Won easily ; second and third driving. TWENTY GRAND, under steady restraint in the early running, moved up quickly midway of the back stretch, was taken in hand again and, going around the leaders on the far turn, took the lead on the stretch turn and drew away, winning with speed to spare. SUN MEADOW, closest to the pace and under restraint, challenged gamely on the far turn and held on well under pressure to outlast JAMESTOWN. The latter set the pace uder restraint to the stretch turn, where he failed to withstand the challenge of TWENTY GRAND and, tiring badly, was outgamed for second place in the final stride.
