ROSELYS began fast, opened up a good lead in the first five-eighths, but tired fast in the final drive. FAIR FORTUNE, away in a tangle, closed a big gap. GOELAND raced close up and had no mishaps. WACKET, rated in close attcndai.ce of the leaders, responded gamely when straightened out in the stretch and, closing fast, wore down VACILLATE to win under pressure. VACILLATE showed good early speed, raced HOGARTY and ZAIDEE into defeat, but could not resist the rush of the winner. ZAIDEE, hard ridden throughout, held on well in the drive. BUBBLING OUT raced wide all the way. TRANSLUCENT showed a good performance. HOGARTY tired in the last three eighths. GREY LAG closed fast after starting slowly. BRIAR HAWK, taken under restraint for the first half mile, took command without effort and, drawing clear, was never in danger. NEW BROOM moved up fast when leaving the back stretch, but tired. NOSE GAY dropped out of it soon after tho start, was placed under presssure and made up ground fast in the closing drive. NUMBER THREE showed good speed on the last turn. The others had no excuses. HARK VICTORY, outpaced for three eighths, wont to ho outside in the stretch, wore down HOWEE and STEFAN JR., but had to be ridden out to the end. STEFAN JR. moved into contention, raced HOWEE into dote:it and held on eamoly. SUN TEATIME began slowly, worked her way up on the outside and closed a lot of ground. HOWEE, hard ridden from the start, tired. EVEN UP began well, but lacked early speed. MY PURCHASE was crowded bark earlv. REY DEL NORTE quit suddenly. The latter, lorwardly placed, closed gamely. LONDON ROCK, on the outside throughout, was making up ground. AGNES SOREL closed a big gap. MY LAVA was never dangerous. BONNY BOY was away poorly. WRACKSTER, AGNES SOREL, VIMONT and AL LIVINGSTON had no chance with the start.
