HAWTHORNE APPLICATIONS Practically All of Large Establishments of West Assigned Stall Room at Cicero Course. With the date for the closing of stakes for Hawthornes summer meeting approaching, a check up has been made on those who have applied for stalls. The result shows that practically all of the large establishments in the West will be at Hawthorne, many returning from Latonia at the close of that meeting. Happily, Hawthorne and Latonia do not conflict, as they did in previous years and horsemen will thus be enabled to race at both meetings without being compelled to divide their stables. Local owners are taking the keenest interest in the Illinois Owners Handicap and some of the best local horses in training are being pointed for it. Mrs. E. Denemark purchased Panchio particularly with this race in view, and the performance of the horse at Washington Park on Wednesday would indicate that he may be a potential factor in that contest. Among those who have already been assigned stable room at Hawthorne are the following: J. J. Greeley, Mrs. E. Denemark, Stuyvesant Peabody, Valley Lake Stable, W. J. Salmon, S. S. Combs, J. Lowenstein, J. S. Middleton, Herbert M. Wolf, E. R. Bradley, J. S. Schorr, Coldstream Stud, John Lowe, Admiral Cary Grayson, E. J. Leh-mann, J. J. Coughlin, A. A.
