CHARLES GRAFFAGNINI DEAD New Orleans Turfman Succumbs to Injuries Sustained in Auto Accident. NEW ORLEANS, La., Jan. 4. Charles Graffagnini, 42, widely known turfman of this city, died Sunday at a local hospital of injuries sustained in an automobile accident here early last Friday morning. He had scores of friends on the turf, and prior to his entrance into the racing field, was prominent in local business circles. He was born and educated here. During his twelve years as an owner, his colors were carried by numerous winners. He developed Minotaur, which he sold as a three-year-old in 1930, to John R. Thompson of Chicago, for 5,000. At the time of his death he owned Beau Wrack and Run On, both in training here. Surviving are his widow, Mrs. Anna Cata-lano Graffagnini, a daughter, Mrs. Salvadore Oddo, and five brothers, Anthony, Martin, Peter, Joseph and Jacob Graffagnini, all of this city. Funeral services will be held at 10 a. m., tomorrow at the mortuary of Lamana. Panno and Fallo, Inc., at 725 North Rampart Street, followed by low mass at St. Marys Italian church. Interment will be in St. Roch cemetery.
