The first claim of the meeting at Tropical Park came after the running of the sixth race Saturday when Howard Wells took Slash from Mrs. C. H. Gregory and J. Par-malee took Lady Blue from P. S. P. Randolph, Both horses were entered to be claimed forr2,000. Totem, who refused to start in the fourth race at Tropical Park Monday, was claimed i from N. J. McClure by D. A. Wood forB ,500. M, Sanders purchased at private terms from Clayton Morris at Jefferson Park th6 filly Sporting Maudie. Morris was represented by N. W. Burkhart. Workless was claimed out at Tropical Park by W. F. Yergason for 1,500,
