I AGUA CALIENTE NOTES I $ Too Much Talk, plater in the G. L. Kalb-fleisch stable, broke down in training and will be absent from the races for some time. Linmast, from the Chesney Stable, also went wrong. Jockey C. Turk arrived today from San Francisco. R. P. Munroe arrived today with three horses, two of which will be seen in action when steeplechasing begins. He brought the veteran Adolphus and the imported Irish mare, Useful. The four-year-old Satis-fier also came along in the van that made the journey from San Jose. Munro will ride over the jumps. The powerful Oak Tree Stable, owned and trained by Bill Hartman, arrived today at the Caliente siding. Hartman motored down from Tanforan. In the shipment were Bahamas, a two-time winner at Tanforan, El Cajon, winner of two races, Royal Car-laris, which greeted the judges four times, Shasta Snow, winner of two races, Chatter On, another which won two races, and Rochester II., who finished in front in one start. With these six sterling campaigners and four two-year-olds, it is expected that Oak Tree Stable will take down its share of purses in the Agua Caliente races. Jockey J. Longdenj who led the older riders at the San Bruno meeting, will do the saddle work for the outfit At the request of the horsemen the Hollywood Handicap, with a purse of ,000 added, which was to have been decided over the six furlongs route Sunday, was changed to an overnight claiming handicap, and when weights were announced only two horses were entered. The Hollywood was then declared off and the program lacked an outstanding feature other than the sixth race, called the Enro Claiming. W. A. Mikel drew a fine for lateness in the paddock for the first race Sunday with Baby Bane. W. C. Merrick, who races Verdevale and Shasta Monk, left Sunday for his home in Oklahoma. Before departing he transferred his horses to Harry Field, who will train them.
