He was an arrival from Havana, where he spent a couple of weeks vacationing with Jake Lowenstein. Mr. and Mrs. J. D. Bob Treanor will stay here and matriculate at the Miami High School. Bill Eckert, of the Pinkertons, was at his usual post in charge of the jockeys room at Tropical Park. Included in his party were manager Jack Hendricks and Steve Harter. They are the guests of Mr. Perry on his yacht, Margaret F. II., which is docked at Flamingo. Dave Heiseman, chief assistant to Mortimer Mahoney in the Hialeah Park mutuel department, arrived in Miami from New York today. W. E. Caskey, Jr., received word of the death of his father yesterday. Mr. Caskey, who has several horses quartered at Hialeah Park, left for their home in Ohio to attend the funeral. Joseph OShea, formerly turf writer for the New York World, has been appointed patrol judge at Tropical Park. Harry Bullion was originally named for the position, but has not yet arrived. Fifty or more horses will come to Tropical Park from Hialeah now that Joseph E. Widener has lifted the bar. They are expected tomorrow.
