MAKES LONG TRIP BY VAN MIAMI, Fla., Jan. 4. Mrs. B. L. Lewis arrived at Tropical Park Saturday morning in a ifdrse van containing the four-year-old maiden, California Babe, a filly by General Roberts My O. She left Santa Anita, Calif.,-fifteen days ago and motored all the way; She was accompanied by California Babes groom and they came via Trinidad, Kansas City, St. Louis and Birmingham. The filly was unloaded every night and looked none the worse for her long journey. "I heard that my friend Frank Bruen was short of horses and I came on to help this meeting out," said Mrs. Lewis.
