DOMINANT STAR dashed into command early and hung on gamely. RUNANWIN raced well. BABY BANE, slow to start, rushed into second place on the inside after an eighth, but tired in the stretch. The latter gained steadily and challenged in the stretch under strong hand riding, but could not get up. KANSAS HOPE was easily third best. MARENGO bore out in the stretch, as usual.
