LEADING AMERICAN JOCKEYS J. Gilbert came close to the century mark last week, although he won only four races. At the end of the week his total was ninety-seven and he still held a good lead over G. Elston, who rode five and retained second place over H. Mills. Elston and Mills keep up a high average, with .24 and .23, respectively. G. Smith made a big gain with his ten victories for the week, increasing his total to eighty-one. Other jockeys who made gains were B. Hanford, R. Jones and W. Wright.
