ENCOURAGE BREEDERS BALTIMORE, Md., May 2.— The Maryland Jockey Club has set aside the sum of ,000 to be awarded at a thoroughbred yearling colt and filly show to be held at Pimlico during the coming spring meeting, Thursday May 12, at 10 a. m., Billy Barton Day. Of this sum, ,000 will be awarded for the colts, and a like amount for the fillies, with 00 to the first, 00 to the second, 00 to the third, 0 to the fourth. The remainder to be divided pro rata among the remaining entries.
