MORE DERBY CANDIDATES I REACH CHURCHILL DOWNS ♦ LOUISVILLE, Ky., May 2.— The Derby ranks were further increased this morning with the arrival from Maryland, of Hal Price Headleys Big Beau and Indian Runner and Mrs. John Hay Whitneys Stepenfetchit and Over Time. The Whitney horses, which finished second and third in the Chesapeake Stakes at Havre de Grace Saturday, came in charge of George Land and along with the Headley pair and had an uneventful trip from Maryland. From New York came T. If. Cassidys Universe and J. H. Louchheims Economic. Universe, which won the Wood Memorial, was in charge of trainer Joe Bauer, while Economic, which ran second, was in charge of his regular groom. Clarence Buxton, trainer of the Louchheim candidate, is due from New York tomorrow. Tom Young, track superintendent, received word this morning that J. J. Robinsoi/s Lucky Tom and the Brandon Stables Brandon Mint were shipped to the Downs from New York this morning.
