KINGS PLATE WORKOUTS TORONTO, Ont., May 11.— Seagram Stables Plate candidates worked Wednesday morning at Woodbine over a sloppy track with the "dogs" up. Shady Well, with exercise boy Jack Thorpe up and Hobnob, with jockey Eddie Legere up, were sent a mile by trainer W. H. Bringloe in 1:51%. The other plater candidate, King OConnor, with apprentice Sidney Hallsworth astride, worked in company with Visionary Hour and were caught the mile in 1:50%. W. H. Wrights Kings Plate candidates, Spey Crest and Fragrant Gift, made their first appearance on the Woodbine course Wednesday morning. The pair were blown out three-eighths in :37 in preparation for more important work this morning. W. J. Donohue, who is looking after the combined strings of W. H. Wright and the Hastings Stable, vanned six down from the Leaside course.
