1 CHURCHILL DOWNS NOTES | ยง $ The stables of Milton Reiser and Octave Viau are among those going to Bainbridge Park next week. Jockey J. Pollard was an arrival from California, but will not resume riding for some time, although the injuries he suffered in an accident at Tanforan are healing rapidly. Jockey Carl Meyer has been engaged to ride H. P. Headleys Liqueur in the Bash-ford Manor Stakes Saturday. Bob Finnerty reported himself ready to get back into colors following a long layoff, resulting from a badly lacerated hand. Trainer A. Baker this morning contracted with Earl Pool to ride Light Eagle, the A. B. Hancock filly, in the Kentucky Oaks the closing day of the meeting. Parfait, the Dixiana Oaks candidate, worked a mile in 1:42%, handily, here this morning. She went the quarter in :25%, half in :51% and the three-quarters in 1:17. Baker put Light Eagle through an easy three-eighths in :38, breezing. John Lowe wired from Maryland for stalls for twenty horses at Washington Park and the communication was forwarded to Tom Young, track superintendent at the Home-wood course. G. W. Ogle will be among the early departures for Washington Park. Divisions of the stables of Mrs. Emil Dene-mark and A. A. Baroni have been at Home-wood for some time.
