LATONIA TURF NOTES T $ e Eleven horses, the property of C. W. Moore, Lexington turfman, arrived from Washington Park Tuesday morning. In the shipment were Bright Emblem and Oak-hurst, which C. H. Trotter sent to J. B. Respess. The Moore horses were Benefit, Essential, Different, Surely, Scream, Dignified, Flying Flynn, Buddie Cooper, Lyda Belle, Geraldine Flynn and Evidently. Apprentice Joe Haupt came in charge of the Respess horses and will be with the division of the stable that Henry Forrest has here. Li. K. Rogers got in from Bainbridge with seven. In the same car were seven belonging to O. Viau. In another car which arrived from the same track were the horses of Beckham Stivers and J. C. Ellis. C. L. Dodson unloaded the two-year-olds Silent Night, Kivella and Nerissa,. which were vanned from Lexington. R. J. Wilkerson unloaded Epidemic and Exclusive and J. F. ONeills Bubbling O. and Jo Jean, which have been : 1 Louisville since the close of that meeting. The nine horses F. P. Letellier will campaign at Latonia arrived from Louisville Tuesday morning. C. C. Patterson brought five, horses from Lexington for J. H. Patterson, Phil T. Chinn and R. C. Drake and expects five more Wednesday. Frank Gering arrived from Bainbridge with Perkins and O. A. Boeckleys Major Accident. Jockeys R. Morrison and Willie Garner were arrivals. Morrison, who is affiliated with the division of the Shandon Farm Stable that T. L. Pierce has here, visited his home in Illinois after leaving Bainbridge. Garner will ride free lance during the meeting, but has been engaged to ride Sewell Combs Nituma in the Clipsetta. Alex Gordon was a. visitor Tuesday morning. He arrived from New York and will go from here to Lexington to inspect his stock at Tom Piatts Brookdale Farm. He expects to return here for the opening. L. Smoka arrived from Lexington with six head, which are the property of R. L. Baker. A. "Jack" Baker has Peggy Leh-mann, Brush Down and Squall at Washington Park and they will join the main division on their arrival here. In the same van came F. C. McAtees Gibbys Choice, which was turned out at Lexington following the close of the Downs meeting. Clifford Burke, assistant to Tom. Young, track superintendent at the Downs. Wash- ington Park and Lincoln Fields courses, arrived from Chicago and is assigning stalls to the horsemen. Grover Hughes arrived at Latonia Friday with the horses Rector, Gun Strap, Quick Verdict, Pompatic, Sauf and Float On. Jockey Clarence McCrossen, under con- tract to Clyde Van Dusen, is due from Wash ington Park Sunday. R. Brooks is due from Louisville Sun day with three, the property of Baylor Hick man, and two that will carry his silks. B. F. Scheffel will bring tl.i seven horsed he has at Lexington for C. W. Greene to La.1 tonia Thursday.
