t ; 1 WASHINGTON PARK NOTES V : Ladder, owned by W. J. Salmon, has been, seriously ill since early Tuesday. The division of Max Hirschs stable here in care of that turfmans son, William J. Hirsch, is to be shipped to Latonia Friday night. An extra race will be attached to the Saturday or final program of the Washington Park meeting. The extra event will close at the regular hour Friday morning and will be used if any one of the regular seven races are forced off the program by a change in track conditions. The more important shipments from Washington Park to Latonia tonight include the stables of Mrs. Payne Whitney, Bernard B. Jones, Coldstream Stud, Raoul Walsh, Young Bros., D. E. Stewart and -others. Mrs. Whitneys Greentree Stable got away in two cars and in charge of trainer J. S. Middleton; Mr. Jones had twelve of his Audley Farm horses in another car; Stewart had a car and W. Z. Martin had the Walsh and Young Bros, horses in another express transport. D. R. Riddle plans to ship his stable to the Covington track by motor van, getting away tomorrow. Gusto, Morton L. Schwartz American Derby winner, was shipped back to Aqueduct. This changed the program trainer Max -Hirsch hastily mapped for the son of American Flag following his triumph in the 0,000 Washington Park race and instead of going to Latonia the colt may be entered in the Brookdale Handicap at Aqueduct Saturday. J. T. Taylor sent Duelist, Hamilton and Bobs Luck to Latonia Wednesday. Jockeys J. McCoy and C. Meyer will leave for Latonia on Wednesday night, while jockey W. Ellsworth will go to Arlington Park. The Northwestern railroad is contemplating running a special train to Arlington Park on Sunday morning for the benefit of the mutuel crew who have been requested to report on that day. It is likely that the special will leave the depot about 9 a. m. Jockey W. Johns was taken ill before the first race and was granted permission to cancel his three engagements. Jockey Charley Allen has received an offer to ride Wise Anne, Oakland Stock Farms good filly, in the Clipsetta Stakes at Latonia Saturday.: Basil Smith has taken over the book of apprentice W. Saunders. Smith is also making the engagements of jockey Melvin Lewis. Jockey Lefoy Cunningham, who is haying trouble keeping down to riding weight, was unable to make the poundage on Good and Hot today and jockey W. Wright was substituted. The big stable Jack Howard will race at Latonia will leave Washington Park for the Kentucky track Sunday. Howard plans to run several horses here Saturday, closing day of the Washington Park meeting.
