TO MAINTAIN MBE WORTH STUD LEXINGTON, Ky., June- 22 Adolphe Pons, fiscal agent of Walter J. Salmons Mereworth Stud, Inc., is here for the week. He has put at rest a variety of rumors concerning the Salmon breeding and racing activities. The 700 acres under lease and occupied by Mereworth Stud are to be retained. The band of approximately seventy mares is to be reduced to approximately forty-five. The others will be farmed out or sold. The stallions Display and Swift and Sure will be kept in the stud. The stallions Axenstein, Flight of Time, Swinburne and Out Play will be leased out or sold. The racing stable will be continued in one division in charge of trainer Jack Pryce, who is now with the division at Chicago, where the entire string will be assembled by June 30, on which date trainer Patsy Dwyer is released.
