! 1 DADE PARK TURF NOTES $ . : Joe Haupt again, cancelled his mounts, due to illness. Haupt has been haying difficulty with his weight. . Grover Hughes was a visitor for Mondays sport. He came from Lexington. Jack Hodges, assistant starter, returned from St. Louis, where he spent Sunday with relatives. He reported about 100 horses at Fairmount Park and the track at the course in "fine condition. F. C. McAtee arrived from Hawthorne with Jessie Dear, Chuck B. and Running Water. Jockey W. Ellsworth accompanied the shipment. In the same van L. V. Bel-lew, Jr., brought Dr. Parrish. W. Hinphys In Haste pulled up very lame after working this morning and it is doubtful if the mare will race again. She is suffering from an injured knee. Johnny Daniels has arranged to transfer the Southland Stable horses from here to Churchill Downs, Louisville, where he will take up and break the twelve yearlings, which are now at Charles Blacks Silver Lake Farm. Several of the Southland Stable horses are coughing and Daniels plans on leaving here during the next ten days., T. L. Pierce will transfer the division" of the Shandon Farm stable, which he has here, to Latonia at the close of the meeting. Pierce will go from Latonia to Lexington to take up and break the fifteen Shandon Farm yearlings after the close of the trotting meeting at the Kentucky Association track. The Southland Stables Playtime was kicked by Uncle Matt while at the post for the Governors Handicap Saturday and will be on the shelf for some time. Thomas Carr Piatt, who has several horses here in charge of J. P. Sallee, is a visitor from his home at Lexington. W. H. Buckner arrived from Latonia with the Long Ridge Stables Oscillation, Long Ridge and W. Mattinglys Slim Pickins. The beautiful floral designs which are given to the owners of the winners of the principal races during the Dade Park meeting are donated by Pat Morgan, Owensboro florist, who has the largest rose gardens West of New York. ,
