GOVERNORS DERBY ENTRIES Fourteen Nominations for ,000 Race to Be Run at the Springfield Fair Next Saturday. The Governors Derby, which has an added value of ,000 and which will be the feature offering of the meeting at the State Fair Grounds, Springfield, HI., closed Saturday with fourteen nominations. The stake will have its third renewal August 27 and has attracted a high class field. Previous winners of the Derby are Billy Champ, which won it in 1930 when jockey Tommy May piloted him to victory over the highly regarded Reveille Boy, which raced under the guidance of the renowned Earl Sande, who made a special trip from New York to ride the J. A. Best representative. Jean Lafitte was third. In 1931 Mrs. E. Dene-marks Burning Up accounted for the winners share, taking the measure of John D.
