TWENTY GRAND FASTER J THAN TRAINER ORDERS j . - A SARATOGA SPRINGS, N. Y., Aug. 22. Trainer Willie Brennan had Twenty Grand on the track Sunday morning. He issued instructions to the boy to gallop him a mile in 1:50. The horse stepped out faster than anticipated and raced through the mist on the back stretch much faster than was intended. Brennan frantically waved the boy to slow down, but the big horse continued on at the same pace and was pulled up a mile in 1:45. He showed no distress from the work and was as sound as the proverbial dollar Monday morning.
