CLOIWALD came through on the inside early and closed gamely. APPELLATE quit. QUEEN TOWTON, overcoming early interference, worked her way up leaving the back stretch and, wearing down IRISH PEARL, outlasted GOOBER. The latter was wearing down the winner near the end. BELMONA finished resolutely. IRISH PEARL opened up a good early lead, but tired. AMOURETTE showed a good performance. CLOTHESLINE lacked early speed. REIGHBURN tired, as did THISTLE GOLD. WEE TODDLER II., crowdedback going to the first turn, went to the outside for racing room and closed stubbornly. FLY FISHER, going in his best form, worked his way up steadily, but could not menace the leaders at the end. NIPIGON was shuffled back repeatedly when kept on the inside. FOGGY DEW and MYTHICAL LORE tired. KINGSWAY quit badly. CROFTER, reserved off the early pace, moved to the leaders when ready and was taken under restraint when Fator was satisfied that ACAJOU was good enough. LERABLE, outrun early,-finished with good courage while saving ground during the final three-eighths. HOLLANDAISE was done after a half mile. LAND GIRL was very sluggish in the early racing.. GLEE CLUB, going in his best form, finished full of run from a slow beginning. MADGES FELLOW showed a good test. TIMON had no mishaps. WESTKO broke slowly and was never a factor.
