1 PIMLICO TURF NOTES $ 2 In an effort to aid horsemen, racing secretary Joseph McLennan will have his son, Charles McLennan, here all day Friday accepting entries for Bowias initial program on Monday. On Saturday morning William Doyle and John P. Turner will accept Bowie entries here and phone same to racing secretary McLennan. P. H. Meepham, who has been training the consistent mare Kneehigh for N. H. Stanton, resigned his position Sunday. P. H. Mepham has severed his connections as conditioner for the racers that are owned by N. E. Stanton. Jockey Bobby Jones, who has been riding in exceptionally good form during the Maryland fall racing season, has received several flattering offers for his services. Jones has been riding for W. R. Coe, who held first call on the western rider, and will be free of his obligation when the Coe racers are transferred to J. H. Stotler at the end of the Pimlico meeting. General manager Joseph B. Boyle of the Bowie track took pari-mutuel manager Mortimer Mahoney, Earl Walden, D. Hiesman and Donald Hay on an inspection tour of the plant Sunday. One and all are high in their praise of the new improvements made. There"are two excellent roads for Baltimore motorists leading into Bowie and this will likely be the chief mode of traveling during the meeting which opens next Monday. Wilbur Shattuck, an 18-year-old lad living at 1001 Darley Avenue, Baltimore, is anxious to sign with some stable as an exercise boy. He rides at ninety-five pounds. Marcel Delporte states that he purchased Soupcon from the Sagamore Stable.
