CARRUTHERS LOSES A FILLY Mrs. Nancy Breaks Neck While Running in Paddock on Latonia Farm Lexington News. LEXINGTON, Ky., Nov. 8. Mrs. Nancy a two-year-old bay filly, by General Thatcher Winkin, fell while running in a paddock at Slickaway Farm and broke her neck this morning. She was owned by Ro Carruthers and insured for 51,000. She had been returned last night from Latonia to the farm. Roy Carruthers left here today, for Chicago. Sure Pop, Homer R., Lady Marsch, Grant-t or and six yearlings, the property of John Marsch of Chicago, were shipped today from the Kentucky Association course to the Fair Grounds, New Orleans. The yearling chestnut colt by Reigh Count Anita Peabody was shipped today to Leona Stock Farm, Cary, Illinois. He was broken at the Kentucky Association track by C. C. Van Meter. McKay Brothers, of Milwaukee, Wis., trotting horsemen, are buying a string of yearlings to race at Agua Caliente and Chicago. They have taken a contract on apprentice jockey Bobby Reeves. Grover C. Hughes has sold to W. F. Houseman, Cincinnati, the yearling chestnut filly, by Durbar II. Pearl Rover, by Runnymede. She will be trained by. Albert Lewis,
