WALDEN HANDICAP WEIGHTS Swivel and Repaid Share Honor as Top Weights. Fridays Feature in the Nature of Return Match After Pimlico Futurity-Juveniles Inconsistent. PIMLICO, Md Nov. 8. The Walden Han-dicap, a test of one mile and a sixteenth for two-year-olds, is always in the nature of a return match after the more valuable Pimlico Futurity. The weights for the Walden, which is over the same distance and to be run Friday, are issued after the running of the Futurity and naturally the winner of the c .-lier and more valuable prize is at the top of the Walden. Adolphe Pons good filly Swivel, which won the Futurity Saturday,, shares the top weight with J. W. Johnsons Repaid, which finished a close third. They are both one pound over the scale, with Swivel required to carry 120 pounds, and 123 assigned the colt. The others in the Walden, at weight advantage over that carried in the Pimlico Futurity, are Bright Shadow, 105; Balios, 115; Dynastic, 115, Golden Way, 114; Inlander, 100; Iseult, 113; Kerry Patch, 119; Notebook, 112; Pomponius, 116; Sarada, 113; The Darb, 116, and Wave On, 113. This weight advantage over that carried in the more valuable special will doubtless induce the starting of several of these. It was inevitable that some of the runners in the Futurity were buffeted about considerably when eighteen went to the post. The race pronounced Swivel a good, game filly, but the running again gave evidence of the lack of quality among the two-year-olds. Right through the year they have been beating each other, until not one stands out as a champion should.
