PLENTY OF HORSES ASSURED Quebec Racing Association Receives ReceivesNumerous Numerous Requests for Stable StableRoom Room at Various Tracks MONTREAL Que May 14 Officials of the Quebec Racing Association announced today that already inquiries for stable room for over one hundred horses were on hand from owners at many points wishing to cam ¬ paign in the fiftysix days of racing which start with the fourteenday meeting at Blue Bonnets June 2 The officials anticipate no shortage of horses as already over sixty in ¬ cluding a large number of Provincebred twoyearolds by Cudgel and other local sires are in active training at the Blue Bon ¬ nets course Particularly keen rivalry be ¬ tween horses of Quebec breeding is antici ¬ pated this season with the renewal of breed ¬ ing activities over the past few years yearsIt It was announced today that the Quebec Derby formerly a Dorval feature would be run on June 18 at Blue Bonnets with nomi ¬ nations closing June 9 The Kindergarten an old twoyearold fixture will be run on the opening day of the meeting The Con naught Cup renewal will be on the first Wednesday the Provincial Nursery on the second Saturday while the Hochelago the Derby Cup the Queens Hotel Cup Handicap the Quebec Espoir and the Kings Plate are among the events to be staged Some of these are brought over from the Dorval track which suspends operations this sea ¬ son From Blue Bonnets the horses move to Ottawa Kings Park and Mount Royal both operate fourteenday meetings
