1 DETROIT TURF liOTES ] Jockey H. Dabson was suspended for five days for coming over on his field at the first turn during the running of the seventh race at Detroit Tuesday. Joe F. Patterson notified the Detroit management that he was sending the Audley Farms Signalman here to fill his engagement in the Royal Oak Handicap, that features Saturdays program. Patterson Is sending two others to be in colors that day. Former jockey Eddie Coates received a jockey agents license and will make the engagements for A. Craig. J. B. Respess, Kentucky breeder, and owner, returned to Detroit Wednesday morning for his first campaign since he raced his stable at the Old Highland Park track thirty years ago. He brought ten head, all of which were foaled at his Highland Stock Farm near Florence, Ky. The veteran George Land is training the stable, which includes Bright Melody, Golden Ray, Sweet Memories, Free Trade, Laurel Wreath, American Belle, Night Flower, Adirondack Hildrum and Black Babble. Jockey H. Louman is with the stable. , , , E. L. Mason is training Left Over and Southland Lad for F. P. Letellier. The others of the Letellier stable were shipped to Louisville at the close of the Latonia meeting. .■■ r Headed by the handicap star, Open Hearth, the horses B. F. Arnold brought from Latonia for H. G. Shoemaker include Fredrick, Storm Angel and Twill. Jack Whyte loaded the Fair Fields Stable and Willis Sharpe Kilmer horses Wednesday night and they left for Saratoga Springs, where they will be given a short rest awaiting the opening of the Spa season. Jockey Lawrence McDermott arrived from Latonia. Former jockey Guy Mangan is making the engagements for Joe Judy and apprentice A. Daniels.
