SUIT TO VACATE NEW j j ORLEANS FAIR GROUNDS « ! NEW ORLEANS, La., July 11.— The Louisiana Jockey Club, Inc., today filed suit in the civil district court asking that the Crescent City Jockey Club be ordered to vacate the Fair Grounds property. The case was allotted to Judge Cage and will be heard on July 17, when the Crescent City Jockey Club must show cause why the order should i not be signed. The Louisiana Jockey Club, Inc., owner i of the Fair Grounds, entered into a contract with the Crescent City Jockey Club in Sep- I tember, 1932, to lease the property at a total rental of 77,800 until June, 1943. In all, ! twelve notes were executed, the first for 0,000, due September 15, 1932; the second, 7,800, due June 1, 1933; the third, 0,000, due June 1, 1934, and the remainder each i for 0,000 annually June 1 of each year. The 0,00 due on June 1 was reduced to 6,100 and extended for thirty days in the effort to help the Crescent City Jockey Club i to raise the necessary funds.
