1 ARLINGTON PARK NOTES | $ - $ Frank C. Otis, who will serve in an official capacity at the impending Hawthorne meeting, was a visitor Wednesday and during the day distributed registration blanks among the horsemen. W. C. Jennings, who claimed French Knight a few days ago, turned the four-year-old over to former jockey Raymond White to train. Frank J. Hudson, chief inspector for the state racing board of California, is an arrival from the East, where he gathered data and various other details in which he was interested and for which he made his extensive tour Mr. Hudson will remain here for about a week and then journey on to San Francisco to make his report. Dr. C. N. Finch of Jeffersonville, Ind., is an arrival from Latonia and will remain for an indefinite stay. Finch, who is noted for his success in curing throat diseases of horses, will probably perform a few opera tions while here. Sam Gorbet reports that Ann Grogan has a chestnut filly by Braedalbane and Shasta Love has a filly of the same color and by the same sire. Mabel Seth, another that was bred at the Gorbet farm at Fairbury, 111., is expected to foal soon. Her progeny will be by Nusakan. Jockey Jack Westrope drew a five-day suspension in the fourth race Tuesday for unfair tactics while astride Oscillation, on which he won.
