1 EMPIRE CITY TURF NOTES J # — — $ Jockey R. Jones will leave for Chicago to ride one of the Brookmeade Stable pair in the Classic and the following Saturday will ride W. R. Coes Ladysman in his stake engagement. Soon Over, Dynastic, Sablin and Pippia, owned by the Greentree Stable, were returned to training after a rest at Red Bank. Pippia is a full sister to First Minstrel. They will be ready for the later stakes of the Saratoga meeting. Sgt. Byrne was excused from the fourth race Wednesday by the stewards. The three-year-old developed a slight cough. At a meeting of the stewards of The Jockey Club held in the office of the club Tuesday, the additional appointments to the summer meeting of the Onondaga Racing Association were confirmed.
