VALISE, away slowly and shuffled back, could not reach the leaders. HARDWARE began fast, but lacked speed to keep up after an eighth. GREAT MASTER, slow to start, closed a gap. PESTLE was moving to the leader near the stretch when he bore out badlv on the stretch turn, but recovered and closed gamely. HAPPY HELEN closed a gap. HARDATIT dropped back through the stretch.
